Join Sian at The Red Store in Lerryn, south east Cornwall, for a delightful day exploring natural colour, finding inspiration from nature and learning tried and tested recipes for creating botanical colour on cloth.
Held on the banks of the River Fowey, the workshop will be fun as well as informative. Let Sian guide you through the foundations of natural dyeing with plants, exploring different types of fabrics, mordants, creating dye baths as well as modifiying colours to create a simple sample book of colours.
In the afternoon session you will also learn about bundle dyeing, and produce a glorious silk scarf to take home.

Bring an old shirt and/or apron, and your own notebook if you wish.
This course is suitable for beginners and requires no specialist knowledge.
The course will be held at Lerryn Red Store on the banks of the River Fowey in south east Cornwall.
